About these terms

I'm Barbara Czarkowska, and I run Barbara Sunchaser Yoga — group classes, 1:1 sessions, workshops, events and retreats, in and around Banbury and online. These terms set out how my classes work: booking, payment, cancellations, your health and safety, and how to raise anything that isn't right.

By booking or attending a class with me, you're confirming that you've read and understood these terms. If anything here is unclear, please just ask — email me at yoga@barbarasunchaser.com.

Your health and taking part

Taking part safely

Yoga is wonderful for most people, but like any physical activity it carries some inherent risk. By taking part, you accept that you're doing so voluntarily and within your own limits, I'll always teach with care and carry appropriate insurance, but your body is yours to look after.

Please listen to your body. Your ability can vary day to day depending on your wellbeing, fitness, stress and tiredness — always practise in a way that feels good for you in that moment. If you have any doubt about whether yoga is suitable for you, please check with your doctor or another medical professional first.

Telling me about your health

You don't have to share anything you'd rather keep private. But it really helps me teach you safely if you let me know about anything relevant — pregnancy, an injury, joint or muscle pain, or a health condition. You can tell me before a session, during it if something doesn't feel right, or afterwards if you noticed discomfort later. Anything you share, I keep confidential.

If you're feeling unwell

If you're unwell — a cold, a bug, anything contagious — it's usually best to sit the class out, both for your own recovery and for everyone else in the room. You're always welcome back when you're feeling better.

Pregnancy

I don't currently offer pregnancy-specific classes, but I'm happy to refer you to a local prenatal teacher. If you're pregnant and would like to attend a regular group class, you're welcome to, I'd just ask you to check with your doctor or midwife first, and I can offer suitable adjustments. When you're returning to yoga after childbirth, please let me know and check with a medical professional beforehand.

Hands-on adjustments

My group classes and workshops don't involve hands-on adjustments at all.

In 1:1 sessions, I may offer some hands-on guidance, but only ever with your consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time, no explanation needed. If you'd prefer I never use hands-on adjustments, just tell me and that's absolutely fine.

Age

Younger students are welcome, but anyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who I'll ask to confirm they're happy for them to take part.

Booking and payment

How to book

Please pre-book all classes through my website at barbarasunchaser.com/book-a-class. Spaces are limited, so I can't always fit in drop-ins. Bookings sent by email, Messenger, Instagram DM, text or phone can't be accepted, I'll just point you back to the booking system, so it's all in one place.

You'll get a booking confirmation email once your place is secured. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder, or email me at yoga@barbarasunchaser.com and I'll sort it.

Paying by invoice

Where payment is by invoice, it's due by the date shown on the invoice.

Class passes

Five-class passes are valid for 50 days from the date of purchase, unless we've agreed otherwise by email. Passes and purchases are non-refundable, non-transferable to another person, and there's no cash alternative, again, unless we've agreed something different in writing.

If I have to cancel a class

Occasionally I may need to cancel, for example due to low numbers, my own unavailability, or unsuitable weather. If that happens, I'll let everyone who's booked know as soon as I can by email and/or phone, and you'll be able to reschedule to any class of the same value with space available within the next 3 months.

Cancelling or rescheduling your place

If you can't make a class, please let me know in good time so I can offer your space to someone else. My notice periods are:

  • Group classes (1 hour): at least 8 hours before the start.

  • 1:1 sessions and Slow Down Sunday: at least 24 hours' notice.

  • Private group bookings: at least one week's notice.

If you cancel later than this, I may have to charge for the place. Please make cancellations through my booking system or by emailing yoga@barbarasunchaser.com, those are the only routes I can act on.

Feedback and complaints

I want my classes to feel safe and welcoming for everyone, and I genuinely value being told when something could be better. If you'd like to raise a concern or give feedback, please email me at yoga@barbarasunchaser.com and I'll respond as soon as I can.

If you'd rather give feedback anonymously, you can use this form.

If your concern is about harassment or safety, please also see my Anti-Harassment Policy, which explains how I handle these and how to report them.

My biggest inspiration is my students- that’s why I keep growing, and learning new tools. I want to serve them better with every class.
